Dr. Gionta is a clinical psychologist, executive coach and organizational consultant with a diverse professional background in business, psychology, coaching and health. She specializes in leadership and team development, optimizing performance, stress management, self-care, and organizational health. Dr. Gionta works with high potential managers, senior executives and teams in small to larger Fortune 500 and nonprofit organizations in various industries. In her life coaching and psychology business, she works with individuals on areas related to health, relationships, career challenges, self-care, boundaries and life transitions.
Dr. Gionta’s professional experience has encompassed a number of diverse assignments, including Senior Consultant and Executive Coach for a global organizational development firm. She has also worked with executives in Latin America, focusing on leadership and team development. As Co-Chair of the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program, Dr. Gionta conducted on-site evaluations and consulted with company executives and employees related to employee engagement, communication, health and work/life balance. She served as an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven, Department of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
She is the co-author of the book "From Stressed to Centered: A Practical Guide to a Healthier and Happier You," which is an evidenced-based guide for effective stress management and self-care.
Dr. Gionta received her BA in Business from New York University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She earned her coaching certification through the International Coach Federation (ICF).
