Scott Erickson, MBA (VT)
ericksonW. Scott Erickson is a versatile healthcare management administrator and consultant experienced in working with physician group practices and community hospitals. He has a strong ability to build teams based on mission and goals, across specialty and department lines, involving all levels of staff and providers, and has a sound understanding of the economic engines necessary to keep healthcare organizations running well.

He received a MBA in Healthcare Administration from LaSalle University in Philadelphia in the mid-eighties while working at a residential school for learning and emotionally challenged students.

Scott observed that patients expect and seek "care" at every step in their office visit, and that few medical practices are able to render caring service consistently throughout the practice. His response was to begin to facilitate the development of effective, healthy work environments from which health could be dispensed from all encounters of the practice. In dealing with the "how," OPTIMUS works with the practice to identify its strengths and leverage those strengths to be able to confidently face the challenges keeping the group from accomplishing the organization's business goals and realizing their preferred future. His facilitative style is non-threatening and supportive of the natural development of people and organizations.

In 2002, after fifteen years of managing and leading medical group practices, Scott saw a need and an opportunity to express his facilitative leadership style in helping people and organizations development complimentary processes to achieve their goals. OPTIMUS evolved from (and is a d/b/a designation of) Health Care Management Concepts, Inc., (HCMC) a healthcare management/consulting practice providing contract medical practice management and consultative services to medical group practices in New England and upstate New York since 1997. Every work group or organization has two distinct components: "what" they do and "how" they do it, each component either complimenting or compromising the other. HCMC deals predominantly with the "what," OPTIMUS deals with the "how."

Organizational Profile
lnlogoIf it's your job to help leaders develop and grow, it's our mission to help you. At LeaderNation, we believe that increasing self-awareness is at the heart of every successful leadership development program. We enhance leaders' self-awareness by providing them with feedback from multiple sources on competencies related to their success. LeaderNation's philosophy is that for leaders to make the most of feedback, three core elements need to be in place. First, feedback must be actionable. LeaderNation's surveys use behaviorally-based questions to ensure leaders receive actionable feedback reports. Second, the feedback leaders receive must be linked to success. Our system requires each campaign to begin with a statement of purpose to ensure the feedback leaders receive is associated with the critical success factors of their specific situation. Finally, the feedback system must be accessible. Our user interface is intuitive and straightforward, our support documentation and on-site text reflect industry best-practices, and our support team is dedicated to making the experience of campaign administrators and participants as stress-free as possible.
